Welcome to the first of many regular update posts!

At Deconet, we’re building new ways for developers to work via a commerce portal for coders and infrastructure for distributed platform cooperatives.

Product

Our alpha app, a registry and market for software modules and APIs, has been up and running on the Ethereum Ropsten testnet as we’ve been adding features and finishing the UI polish. You can test the application out here: app.deco.network and join thousands of other developers who are poking around the system by listing APIs and modules. We’ve also made some changes to our product so that it can be used for contests; this was moved earlier in our roadmap due to the partnership with hack.summit, which you’ll be reading about in a moment.

We plan on pushing the alpha out to the mainnet prior to adding the next major feature, which is the token curated registry.

Also, the bug bounty program has been launched for the users who are playing with our platform and finding any issues. That bug bounty program is here.

Hack.Summit(blockchain) Virtual Hackathon

We’ve partnered with hack.summit(blockchain) to co-host the largest developer event and blockchain hackathon in history.

The hackathon event, featuring thousands of developers and massive crpyto prizes for them to win, takes place from July 6–8, 2018. Participants are already forming teams with developers all over the world to learn the latest protocols and win prizes. Also, 100% of the proceeds will go to charities.

A few of the challenge sponsors include Bluzelle, Elastos, Mobius, NuCypher, Komodo, Mixin, Wanchain, ConsenSys, and Aragon.

You can register for the hack.summit(blockchain) conference and hackathon right here.

Partnerships

We added partnerships with Coral Protocol, CanYa, SpringRole, and Rivetz.

Awards

Deco.Network was selected as a finalist and presented at the 2018 Frontier Innovation Awards. Thanks, Bee Partners!

Team + Advisors

Daniil Demchenko is our newest Product Manager, previously a Senior Product Manager at Gigster.

Rebecca Haynes, coming from the Environmental Defense Fund, is our new Ops Lead.

Joe McCann, CEO and founder of NodeSource, has joined as an advisor.

We’re so pleased to be working with such a driven group of people!

What’s Next

We’re charging forward to make sure everything is ready for our app’s launch on the Ethereum mainnet as well as fully ready and tested to handle the load from the hack.summit hackathon.

We’re also working on a refresh of our whitepaper in order to more clearly articulate our vision and the pragmatic steps we’re taking to get there.

After the hack.summit event (July 6 — July 8th), we’ll be announcing how we’ll continue working with blockchain protocols and projects on their ecosystem development while building generalizable public utilities in parallel. The aim to to create the foundation for the future of work and wealth for developers and product teams.
