From preparing for our IDO and IEO with Polkastarter and Bybit leading up to the launch of the $DEFY token, as well as making significant updates to the app and introducing new features to gameplay, August has been our busiest and most exciting month yet!
In case you missed it, here is an overview of all the latest happenings over the past month.
$DEFY Token Launch
After four months since first launching the alpha gameplay, the DEFY token has successfully launched and has been trading live as of 15 August 2022.
IDO and IEO
The token was launched with the help of Polkastarter’s launchpad via an IDO as well as Bybit’s launchpad via an IEO.
With the token now live, we can move forward to focus resources towards improving the game as we inch closer towards beta and the eventual public launch shortly after, while also aiming to expand our community with the goal of increasing player base over time.
Note: DEFY is currently available on Bybit (CEX) and QuickSwap (DEX).

AMA Sessions
A total of three live sessions were held over the month where our co-founders opened the floor and answered questions from the community. Two of these were with Polkastarter and Bybit in view of the recent token launch.

Beginner’s Guide to DEFY
In efforts to make onboarding both easier and smoother for new users to learn about DEFY and get started with playing (or for existing users to conveniently share about the game with others), we have created an all-in-one comprehensive and beginner-friendly guide to understanding the project.
Note: This guide is a work-in-progress and will be continually updated with the latest information as the game and project develops over time.
In-Game Missions
The DEFY game is currently still in Alpha, having recently concluded Alpha Mission 4 as of 22 August, with Alpha Mission 5 having commenced from 23 August.
Mission 5 will be the final mission for Operation Alpha, before we transition over to Beta. In view of this, $DEFY rewards have been significantly increased throughout the mission. Mission 5 has also been split into five phases for us to introduce new elements to the game with each phase, which includes increasing rewards further with every passing week!

Updates to Alpha Tokens
There has been an update to the unlock schedule of tokens earned during Alpha from our previous article back in June.
This includes:
- Reducing lock period for Mission 1 rewards from 4 months to 3 months
- Fixing Missions 2, 3, 4, and 5 rewards to be unlocked 15 days after the previous
- Having unlocked tokens be emitted daily over the span of 1 month

Game Updates Overview
From introducing new gameplay features and transforming the user interface, to fixing bugs, adding special effects, and enhancing the overall gaming experience, our game developers and engineers have been working hard to build on the game all throughout the past month.
A new engineering-focused article has been published to cover all of the changes the app has underwent throughout the month of August.

Sneak Peek into Developments
In addition to all of the updates made to the game over the month of August, there are many more gameplay elements currently in the works due for release later this quarter (Q3) and the next (Q4).
This includes a levelling system for masks and accounts, building your own drone with the launch of drone chassis, as well as an AR-enabled gameplay for tower hacks and drone battles.
