Expanding the Revolution: Uprising Mask Mint

Greetings, Operatives!
Thanks to the help of our incredible Genesis Operatives who have been actively partaking in the alpha missions and pledging to the DEFY organization daily, we have gathered a great deal of data and feedback from our early adopters. This has allowed for more features to be implemented onto the DEFY app, which many of you have noticed and commented on the improved gameplay experience.
As we move forward with our roadmap, it’s imperative that we continue to grow our community and user base. This will get us ready for the rapid growth we are aiming for in our public beta phase. So, without further ado:
Introducing the next Generation of DEFY Virtual Private Masks:
Uprising Masks Minting Details:
Mint Date: Saturday, July 23rd 2022 (Phase 1)
Time: 0900 UTC
Duration: 13 hours
Total Supply: 10,000 Masks
Available Supply: 2,000 Masks
Mint Cost: 160 MATIC

Minting Your Virtual Private Mask
Before you acquire your Mask, you will need an Uprising Invitation Card to the DEFY Revolution. These invites can be used by the original holder, traded amongst friends, or sold on OpenSea.
DEFY: Uprising Invitation Cards
There will be two different tiers of Uprising NFT Invites available.
Tier 1 NFT Invites: 10,000 Available
- Tier 1 Invites are available for redemption in-app, using DEFY tokens earned in the Alpha Game (1,000 $DEFY per invite)
- A Tier 1 Invite guarantees the ability to mint an Uprising Mask in an exclusive 1-hour period on 23rd July.
- We expect to launch in-app redemptions of Tier 1 invites on or around 15th July. Tier 1 Invites will be airdropped to the holders on or around 18th July.
Tier 2 NFT Invites: 10,000 Available
- Tier 2 Invites will be distributed automatically to the wallet holding any Genesis Mask that has been connected to the DEFY Alpha game app. The snapshot will occur on 15th July 0900 UTC.
- Tier 2 Invites provide the opportunity but not the promise of minting an Uprising mask after the exclusive pre-sale period has ended on 23rd July.
- Tier 2 Invites will be airdropped to the holders on or around 16th July.
- A number of NFT invites will be retained by the DEFY team for use in marketing and promotional activities.
Commission Structure:
- To incentivise the distribution of masks to new operatives, we have updated the commission structure for the Uprising mint.
- Original holders of the Tier 1 NFT invite will receive a 50% commission upon minting. We want to reward and thank our early adopters.
- Original holders of the NFT Tier 2 invite will receive a 10% commission as per normal.
Example 1: Dan use his in-game $DEFY to purchase an Uprising Tier 1 NFT Invite and sends it to Ollie. If Ollie proceeds to mint himself a mask, Dan will receive 50% (80 MATIC) back in commission as a result.
Example 2: Jun holds a Genesis mask that he has connected to the DEFY Alpha game app. He receives one Uprising Tier 2 NFT Invite via airdrop for free. He proceeds to mint a mask for himself using the invite. He receives 10% (16 MATIC) back in commission as a result.
Customise your Mask with Revolutionary Decals!
Your masks serve as your avatars in-game. These new generation of masks come with the ability to be upgraded further using exclusive decals* to customise them to suit your style and express your creativity.
*Decals will be made available for purchase in-app using $DEFY earned in-game.
There will be a wide selection of decals made available as add-ons, while each mask has the ability take on a maximum of 2 decals. In the future, operatives will have the ability to purchase and change their mask decals, with mission and season specific decals being launched on an on-going basis.

Minting Process Updates
As requested by the community, we’re making it easier for holders of multiple invites to mint. You will now be able to mint in batches, only limited by the number of NFT Invites held by you.
Other Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Virtual Private Masks be minted on the Ethereum or Polygon network?
The minting will take place on the Polygon network.
Will the gas fee be paid in ETH or MATIC?
Gas fees will be paid in MATIC as we are minting on the Polygon network.
How much can I expect to pay in gas fees to mint an NFT Mask?
This fluctuates, but most Polygon ERC-721 mints have a gas fee of around US$0.02. Holding 1 MATIC should be more than sufficient to mint a mask.
What if all 10,000 Uprising Masks mint out in the Tier 1 pre-sale phase?
In the event that this occurs, Tier 2 NFT invites will be void. We suggest that all active alpha players redeem a Tier 1 invite in app. If you have not had the opportunity to do so, consider picking one up on Opensea.
