2018 has been an awesome year for Zambia Software developers, we had lots of meetups that encouraged and motivated many people to start the journey of software development, many people started writing good articles on tutorials and community as well and we are looking forward to seeing more of what 2019 will bring.

The following articles are in no order and I recommend to read them when you find time and share them with others.

In this article, I focus on the tutorial based articles that can help you learn one or two things in your development journey.

Firebase (My Journey starts now)

Written by one of the most active member of the developer and open source community in Lusaka Alu Shaks she talks about how she started learning and using firebase after a hackathon organized by Developer Circle Lusaka and she goes on to explain what is firebase and some good resources for learning firebase.

Version Control using Git

Isaac Miti wrote this article after giving an awesome talk on using git at a forloopZambia meetup, in the article he demonstrates how Git works and at the end, there is a handful of git commands, I highly recommend it if you are new to version control.

Design Basics for Developers

abednego mwanza is a good designer and in this article he brought out the best thing to consider when you are designing for your users, it is great read for every web developer looking to best communicate with their users.

Deploy Your Static Web with Confidence

Last but not least in this category is another article I wrote on how you can deploy your static app freely using surge.sh

Finally

Writing is not easy and neither is it for everyone but we strongly encourage to write more aside from your development work, it is a good way of giving back to the community.

kindly support the authors of these articles in different ways, share it with your friends and give them claps and most of all your feedback is always needed.

Compliments of the season
