Size actually matter sometimes. If memory footprint of an application become big, application’s memory requirement in a container become big too. A distroless container (read here) is a slimmest version of a docker image that only contain your application and it’s runtime dependencies. In this post, we will see how we to build a slimmest Dockerfile which will produce a slimmest docker container for any golang app.
