After returning to Budapest, I finally made it to a country and a city which had been on my personal bucket list for a very very long time: Romania, and its famous capital city of Bucharest.

Romania is a mysterious country which had always tempted me; a really large country for European standards, with an interesting language and history, being the only Latin language country in Eastern Europe, and at the same time the only Latin language country with a communist past.

Romania, despite being a huge country with a lot of history and sites on offer, is not one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe; in fact, I didn’t know anyone visiting Romania before me, and all its surrounding countries seem to be far more popular among tourists and visitors.

Anyway, I was pretty excited about my Romanian adventure, and I started it off with a 3 day stay in Bucharest.
