Idea: Watch previously recorded Live videos with one-tap to next part of the Live video by jumping to dividers either made by video maker or automatic based on length of video for ease of jumping through video 4.23.2016 (#127)

Title: Rematch the good parts
Introduction: Snapchat Live Video playback makes watching the good parts easy with one-tap to the next part of the live video, whether dividers made by the video creator or otherwise skips ahead by 1 to 5 minutes depending on the live video length.
Snapchat & live video today:
- Live video tends to be quite long and the beginning part of a video may not be especially interesting.
Proposed idea:
- Start on Stories view. Tap on a Friend 7’s Story that is noted as “Some recorded live.” Note that the first Story open doesn’t note recorded live so this was not recorded live.
- Tap to advance which shows the previously live recorded video. Note that the upper right corner shows a counter of how many videos were made when the live video was recorded.
- Tap to advance which goes to the second video, then tap to third video, then tap to fourth video which is the last video made in that one live recorded.
- Tap to advance which shows the next Story was posted not live because there is no text about that video having been live recorded.
- Swipe down to return to Stories. Note that the text “Some recorded live” is not shown anymore because you have already viewed the parts of the Story that were recorded live.
Comments:
- Opportunity is to make watching live videos easier knowing that people may be uninterested in a video at a given point and so want to skip ahead.
- Automatic making dividers is based on the length of the video. For example, a 5 minute video may have 1 minute automatic dividers to skip ahead, whereas a 30 minute video may have 5 minute dividers.
- Alternatively, base dividers in part on content of the video such as how much action in the video. For example, talking in the video after a long pause could be the start of an automatic divider.
