I will update downloads whenever I see something or hear about it. If anyone has recommended tools (preferably free) then let me know via comments or email- wspin@yahoo.com

  1. Grammarly https://www.grammarly.com/grammar-check
  2. Medium Help Page https://help.medium.com/hc/en-us
  3. Free Images at https://www.freepik.com/
  4. Free Images https://www.pexels.com/
  5. Free Stock Images https://pixabay.com/photos/
  6. Using Medium tools — When you are starting a new paragraph while writing, you will see a plus symbol on the left-hand side of your screen.

When you click on the plus sign, it turns into an X and these symbols as seen above. The first highlighted symbol is a button to add your own image. When you add your own image then you need to credit it to whomever it came from. I have made these myself so they are credited to Author.

The second symbol is a button to add free images from Unsplash. Unsplash will automatically credit their images to the creators for you.

The third symbol above is to add a video to your article.

The fourth symbol above is for adding an embedded link from places like Twitter.

The fifth image above is one that I also haven’t used but is for adding code like C, C#, C++, Python, Java, etc.

The last symbol above is for separating and adding space in between your paragraphs with 3 little dots. I will leave you with an example.

Now, as you are writing — you can highlight your text and have different options to change them.

You have 7 options to click on, some might be self-explanatory but we will go over them anyway.

  1. B for BOLD.
  2. The little i for italics.
  3. The chain symbol for adding a link in your text. Maybe you want to add a link for another story or reference something like this.
  4. The Big T is mainly for enlarging the text in your title and selecting it as your title.
  5. The same goes for the little t, you use it for selecting your subtitle. It will bold your text if you are just writing and being separate from the subtitle. The Big T will do the same but it will be larger.
  6. The quotation marks will italics your text and if you click on it again then it will enlarge your text. I will leave you an example.

Example- Text like this.

7. The little padlock off to the side is your last choice and it is used to leave private notes on people’s articles. You can notify someone without the other readers being able to see it.

I appreciate you all for reading and have a great day!
