New Feature: Version Control for 3D Models (Tutorial)
As programmers, we cross our Ts and dot our Is when it comes to version control but what about our 3D models? Sure, it’s possible to make quick edits in Blender or Unity but often times this leads to scrapping the model and starting over. Saving Object_Final_Final_FinalForReal.glb doesn’t always work (been there)!
echo3D’s 3D asset management platform added a feature to track changes for 3D models that can be edited from directly within the console. Changes are automatically tracked and don’t require any commits or manual input. You can have peace of mind knowing previous versions are automatically generated for you.
Not only can you manage your 3D content effectively within your team or revert to past versions, but also commit & schedule future versions of their 3D content and update it in real-time directly to the 3D experience.
Note: This feature is for paid plans.
