As many of you would be aware, the name ‘ECOMI Collect’ has been a working title since the inception of our digital collectibles platform. Not only is it almost impossible to trademark the word ‘collect,’ but it was also imperative that the name is ubiquitous and pronounceable around the world. Now that all trademarks and registrations have been completed, we can finally reveal the name of our digital collectibles app…
Meet VE-VE! The Home of Premium, Licensed Digital Collectibles
Beautiful in its simplicity, VE-VE (pronounced as it reads- “vee-vee”) is the new home of ECOMI’s premium digital collectible offering, and soon to be available on both Android and iOS devices. The app incorporates an incredible amount of new technologies, simplifying digital collectibles for the masses, in one simple to use interface.
Underpinned by blockchain technology, VE-VE offers:
- Simple onboarding of users with social media logins
- One-click purchases of digital collectibles, thanks to our Gem system
- Safe storage of your collectibles using the in-app wallets
- A deflationary token economic system
- Verification of ownership and transactions within the app
And whilst all of those things are very much functional, as far as the user experience is concerned, VE-VE offers so much more!
What Can I Do With VE-VE?
Although we haven’t revealed the app yet, we want to remind you of all the amazing features within it. We have 5 main components of the VE-VE app, each with their own features and functions.
- The VE-VE store: where you can begin to collect your favorite characters, Scenes and Virtual Goods. You’ll also be able to create watchlists, get ready for our ‘drop days,’ browse licenses, brands, and editions, and complete your collectible sets!
- The second-hand market: buy, trade and sell your collectibles with other users, around the world, in a matter of seconds! Think of this like an e-bay of digital collectibles, where you can set your own prices, create watchlists, place bids, win auctions, and add to your collection!
- Augmented Reality Showroom- Collectibles are meant to be displayed, and just as our premium collectibles have gone digital, so too have our showrooms. With customizable options, themed rooms and more, interacting with your digital collectibles in augmented reality combines revolutionary technology with new digital experiences.
- Social Feed- What good is a collection if you can’t show it off to your friends?! Using our integrated social feed you’ll be able to display and share your collection, share items up for sale-or find the digital collectibles you’re after. Using our augmented reality features you’ll also be able to pin them to your real-world surroundings and take photos to share, and plenty more!
- Wallets- Store your digital collectibles, top up your balances, and keep an eye on your transaction history.
What’s Next for ECOMI and VE-VE?
Now that the name has been revealed, it won’t be too long before we launch new websites and registration for beta testing. With the first batch of invites expected to begin in the coming weeks, we’ll let you know how you can participate, and have the opportunity to get your hands on some very limited edition trial collectibles.
As testing opens we’ll also be creating new communication channels on Discord, to keep all of our resources and information in one easy to reach place. More information will be released about this when the time comes. In the meantime, test the new name out, say it out loud a few times, and get ready for VE-VE to take over the (collectible) world!
