So last time we discussed what Efyia wanted to address.

Let’s start from the fact that many of us have a problem with travel planning. Indeed, it takes a lot of time and as we know, time can be a luxury!

It is therefore sometimes difficult to plan your trips as you would like. The major problem is that there is a lot of noise and therefore a big effort of filtering to do. How many of you have spent hours reading reviews online and trying to “filter” those they could relate to, compare ratings between different websites, try to find reviews or photos on your friends’ Facebook profiles or on blogs… How do we know if a review is reliable?

There is too much information on the web and filtering is sometimes difficult when we do not have any background behind. But how did we do it before?

If we think about it, before we asked a family member, a friend, an acquaintance about their reviews and opinions if they had visited the destination that interests us. Today, we read reviews online. Although it is super useful, it can be difficult to interpret because we do not know anything about the person who writes them.

One can then wonder why asking a friend for travel advice is easier than planning yourself or asking an agency.

I love to travel and share experiences with others. I believe that we can make things better if we learn how to discuss our biases with respect.
