Eidoo Updates

As we promised last week, this is the weekly report about Eidoo that we are going to publish every Monday.

Read the previous weekly report by clicking here.

In these blog posts, you will find all the Eidoo projects for the near future and works completed during the last week, as we want to be as transparent as possible.

Eidoo Wallet installations by users

We currently have more than 100k installations on Android and iOS combined.

The most considerable part is on Android, maybe because we released the Google Play Store version right before the iOS one.

On Google Play, in fact, we have 97k installations while we have 10k app installed on iOS devices worldwide.

Anyway, we are very pleased with this result because this means that we are working great to provide you a useful and user-friendly app that in just a month reached this impressive goal.

CryptoPolis: the Eidoo event in Chiasso

On October 25th, Eidoo participated in the first blockchain meetup held in Chiasso, Switzerland, organized by the Swiss association called CryptoPolis that aims at educating people about digital currencies and helping their adoption within Canton Ticino.

There were almost 300 people, and this is a good result also because the event was organized in five days only.

Eidoo is one of the CryptoPolis members, and we also helped this association in suggesting the Municipality of Chiasso accept bitcoin for tax payments together with BHB Network and Digital Identity.

During this event, our COO, Andrea Benetton, explained the Eidoo project and why we decided to base our HQ in Chiasso because of its crypto-friendliness for regulation.

On November 2nd, we want to remember that we will be in Bolzano, Italy, for another event related to token sales and crypto-regulation. This one is called Block Talk and Andrea will talk about the just ended Eidoo token sale in front of an exception audience that includes the Italian stock exchange regulator (Consob).

Margin Trading on Bitfinex

EDO has been listed on Bitfinex for a week, but the new good news is that now Bitfinex has enabled margin trading for our token against bitcoin, ethereum, and USD.

Margin trading is a method of buying cryptocurrencies that involves borrowing a part of the sum needed from the exchange for executing the transaction.

Eidoo listed on HitBTC

A few days ago, the Eidoo token (EDO) has been listed on the HitBTC exchange against the pairs Bitcoin, USD and Ethereum.

So you can now buy and sell EDO on Etherdelta, Bitfinex and HitBTC.

Eidoo subjected to external Airdrops

An airdrop is a free gift of tokens that crypto-related companies can do random or with a specific concept (e.g., based on how much Ethereum the user has in his wallet).

On the blockchain addresses are public, so companies can set a smart contract that gives tokens for free to a specific list of addresses.

This is a common usage in the crypto world, but it doesn’t mean that the wallet — Eidoo, in this case, is involved in this airdrop.

This what happened recently with the Eidoo wallet, as a company decided to give tokens for free to a few Eidoo wallet owners.

We don’t know anything about this company neither we are involved in this airdrop. It is just a random gift you received. You can decide to either hold or sell these tokens; it is your choice.
