We’ve been hard at work innovating new features for the Ekoru.org search engine. Going beyond Dark Mode we’re the first search engine to allow users to choose from multiple colours for their search page.
The New Year update for 2021 adds the ability for users to customize their search experience by selecting from a number of ocean inspired colours.
Available for desktop browsers, users have a choice of Arctic White, Dark Abyss, Trinidad Turquoise, Octopus Orange, Starfish Pink, Coral Yellow, Jamaican Sands, Seagrass Green, and Dolphin Grey. A special monochromatic mode called Optical Orca which has no colour — even for images.
You can change colours by choosing the from the colour menu on the search page. The colour changes are applied Ekoru.org serach page as well as the browser extension apps available for Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and Edge.
Ekoru works on all mobile phones and computers by simply pointing your browser at www.ekoru.org . Computer browser extensions are available that will let you use Ekoru as your default search engine every day. An Android search app is available for mobile as well as an iPhone version.
Searches on Ekoru generate an income from sponsored search links. 60% of that income goes straight to our ocean partners. Every search now helps reforest our oceans and remove plastic waste.
