Introduction to Major RWA Perp DEX

Recently, the blockchain industry has witnessed a surge in interest in Real World Assets (RWA), bringing a wave of innovation to the financial markets. At the forefront of this innovation is the decentralization of perpetual futures trading based on real-world assets. The RWA Perp DEX, a perpetual decentralized exchange for RWA, offers broader accessibility and transparent trading opportunities by digitizing traditional assets. This technology targets a variety of assets such as gold, crude oil, and real estate, enabling investors worldwide to invest in these assets without restrictions.
The RWA Perp DEX market is forming in two main ways: by expanding existing Perpetual DEXs to include RWA assets, and by pioneering new DEXs that exclusively handle RWA from the start. The following examples highlight major RWA Perp DEX projects that fall into the latter category.

Major Projects
1. Parcl: Decentralized perpetual futures exchange based on real estate indices
RWA
Parcl transforms U.S. real estate prices into a price per square foot (Price / sqft) index, offering a market where users can trade perpetual futures. The core RWAs are real estate price indices from major U.S. cities like New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Currently, there are 25 U.S. real estate index products, and the platform is expanding to include capitals of European countries such as Paris and London.
The platform also plans to diversify into Forex markets. Although the Euro and Great British Pound markets are listed on the site, trading functionality is not yet available.

Oracle Model: The Oracle-based matching engine uses real-time price data from spot markets to match long/short orders. Unlike order book models where orders are matched based on supply and demand, the Oracle model executes all trades at the actual spot market price at the time of execution. TVL
Since the launch of V3 on October 30, 2023, Parcl has reached a TVL of $55.77M. According to DefiLlama, the largest DeFi data aggregator, it ranks 9th in TVL among all perpetual DEXs.
2. OSTIUM: An On-Chain Perpetual Futures Exchange for Real-World Assets
RWA
OSTIUM offers a variety of RWAs. Besides the commonly traded metals and forex in Perp DEX, it also includes commodities, indices, and crude oil. Specific RWAs are as follows:
- Indices: HSI (Hang Seng Index), NIK (Nikkei 225)
- Commodities: Soybeans, Cocoa, etc.
- Metals: Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Copper
- Crude Oil: Brent Oil, WTI Oil, Natural Gas
- Forex: Yen, Euro, Pound

It is currently released on Arbitrum’s test network, Arbitrum Sepoila, with the full version expected to be released on Arbitrum in the future.
TVL
As only the test version is available, there is no actual TVL data yet. However, since its launch in March 2024, there have been 2.1K users and 15,500 trades.
Conclusion

1. Parcl: 부동산 지수를 다루는 탈중앙 무기한 선물거래소
RWA
Parcl은 미국 부동산 가격을 제곱피트 당 가격(Price / sqft) 지수로 변경하고, 이를 유저들이 무기한 선물거래를 할 수 있는 시장을 제공합니다. 핵심 RWA는 New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco 등 미국 주요 도시의 부동산 가격 지수입니다. 현재 25개의 미국 부동산 지수 상품이 존재하며, 파리와 런던 등 유럽 국가들의 수도로도 상품군을 확장하고 있습니다.

2023년 10월 30일에 V3를 오픈한 이후로 $55.77M의 TVL을 예치했으며, 가장 큰 DeFi 데이터 어그리게이터인 DefiLlama에 따르면, 전체 Perpetual DEX 중 TVL 기준으로 9위에 랭크돼 있습니다.
