Airdrop, staking, Zealy, and StreamSwap
As announced last week, EmpowerChain launched successfully and airdropped MPWR tokens to more than 100,000 wallets. This week, the community will launch the MPWR tokens as a StreamSwap event and a “gasdrop” to allow everyone to stake their tokens. StreamSwap
A proposal to “Bootstrap Empowerchain Community through StreamSwap and Liquidity Allocation” is currently up for voting in EmpowerChain’s governance. As the proposal states: “This governance proposal seeks the support and affirmative votes from the EmpowerChain community to bootstrap the ecosystem and initiate price discovery.” The on-chain proposal and more details can be found here.
StreamSwap is an Osmosis-based protocol for time-based token swaps — enabling community-driven token launches. The community is set to launch a StreamSwap bootstrapping on the 5th of July and end with the streaming phase on the 7th. When the proposal passes, 2 million MPWR tokens (1% of genesis supply) will be sent to create a StreamSwap stream with OSMO as the subscription token. At the end of the stream on the 7th of July, the swapped (redeemed) tokens will be split between core tech funding and bootstrapping an OSMO/MPWR liquidity pool on Osmosis (with 50% from the stream and another 1 million MPWR tokens to match it).
The liquidity pool on Osmosis is also planned to have external incentives, in the form of MPWR tokens, to provide liquidity. More details and incentive sizes are to be announced.
Airdrop Checker
Even though all genesis airdrops are already distributed and in people’s wallets, there has been a need for an easy tool to check the airdrop. It allows users to enter their cosmos-based wallet (cosmos hub, osmosis, stargaze, etc.), or connect their wallet, to check their balance.

Gasdrop and Staking
To enable everyone who got testnet rewards and/or airdrops to start staking, we have implemented a small gasdrop to every vesting account with a 0 spendable balance (meaning they couldn’t pay for gas).
EmpowerChain is currently set to enable 33% emission on the 10th of July. Staking APY will depend on how many % of tokens are staked. If you get your staking set up before then, you will be ready to receive the staking rewards from day 1.
There are multiple ways to go and stake your tokens, and more are coming soon (Leap is scheduled to add native support in one of the coming days). 100,000 MPWR Zealy campaign
We are launching a new campaign to help launch EmpowerChain and MPWR into the Interchain. We’ve set aside up to 100,000 MPWR tokens with no vesting attached. The exact number of tokens will depend on the number of participants, but we will come back with the exact number of tokens to be distributed for X, Y, and Z participants (i.e., how many participants are needed to unlock different number of tokens). Safe to say, it might be worthwhile to recruit your friends to join as well!
The campaign will include tasks for spreading the word, writing content, staking MPWR tokens, testing partner solutions, and much more. The goal is to make it a fun, educational, and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
