It’s been a while since we’ve given an update on the Enzyme ecosystem and a summary of achievements so far this year!

Ecosystem Achievements

We’re pleased to see how fast the ecosystem has grown in the last year. The diagram below nicely illustrates this and how our vision of becoming a flexible infrastructure for decentralised asset management is starting to become a reality.

There have been a few notable highlights so far this year;

  • A successful rebrand from Melon to Enzyme to mark the end of a long-winded trademark dispute with BNY Mellon.
  • A major new release (v2) in February. This release was a game changer for Enzyme in that it far exceeded the functionality of other available asset management protocols or platforms available today in DeFi.
  • Integrations have been multiplying! Vaults can now deposit into liquidity pools by Uniswap or Curve and run yield farming strategies with our Idle, Yearn, AAVE, Compound integrations. Aside from that you can also trade directly with the following DEX’s Uniswap, Paraswap, Curve, Kyber Network, Synthetix & 0x.
  • A new all time high in assets under management for the protocol of $150m very which marks a 115x increase since the release in February.
  • We’ve been actively involved in ETHglobal, ETHonline, DeFisummer and the upcoming theDAOist event in Lisbon.
  • Regular community calls led and organised by Enzyme user-representatives Felix Hartmann & Giel Detienne.
  • An integration with Gnosis SAFE: It’s officially never been easier for a multi-sig DAO or organisation to manage its assets professionally with a purpose-built tool like Enzyme.

It’s also worth noting our increased involvement in hackathons this year has also yielded some very interesting contributions from the community including;

  • An auto-rebalancing tool for Enzyme
  • BadgerDAO integration (not yet complete)
  • DAO Treasury Management on Enzyme through discord. Ability to authenticate vault managers and investors on discord and to trigger Enzyme vault actions from discord
  • Zoduid; A tool combining Enzyme, Zodiac (safe) module and superfluid. Enabling DAOs to earn yield but also distribute payments effectively and efficiently.
  • A Balancer integration (in progress)

Aside from that, the council decided to make a few grants to developers for producing the following works;

  • Synthetix integration
  • Pooltogether integration
  • Continuation of the auto-rebalancing bot work (hackathon winners).

And last but not least, we’ve managed to secure some partnerships with key protocols in the DeFi ecosystem including:

..and more on the horizon!

Coming up soon!

There’s a lot happening this quarter and a few highlights to mention there too.

  • theDAOist.eth. We’ll be a key sponsor at theDAOist.eth Lisbon on October 19th as we start to show-case how useful Enzyme can be as a treasury management tool. If you’re involved in DAOs and have thoughts on that, please contribute to our research on this topic and we will be giving away a couple of free tickets to people who take the time to answer this question.
  • October 19th — we’ll be hosting roundtable discussions on DAO tooling at the daoist.eth. If you’re there, we would love to meet you!
  • Oct 20th -22nd — Several council members will be attending Liscon and some of our devs will be participating in the hackathon. Write to us if you want to arrange a meeting and learn more about the protocol.
  • Sulu release in Q4. Want a quick refresh on what’s coming with that? A few highlights from Sean Casey in this community call on what to expect.
  • E-2 (re-branded from M-2). Our annual on-chain asset management conference which launched as M-0 in 2017 is back. We’ve rebranded and gone digital. E-2 will be happening virtually on December 2nd and 3rd — save the date!
  • Announcing our 2022 roadmap — An update on what to expect for the year ahead will be provided.
  • Exponent.ai launch — stay tuned for exciting announcements from this team of fennecs!
