Snapshots As A Service: Airdrops for All

The Airdrop is a powerful tool on the EOS Mainnet. Developers can distribute tokens to further decentralize their applications as well as notify users of a pending dApp launch. On the other side, users receive tokens which may provide utility or value simply by being an EOS token-holder.
Until now, the only EOS token-holders receiving airdrops have been genesis accounts, i.e. token-holders that held their private keys during the final snapshot (excluding opt-in airdrops).
We are pleased to offer EOSSnapshots.io to the developer community, the only tool currently available that provides a daily snapshot of every account and corresponding token balance on the EOS Mainnet blockchain. Read more at our FAQ page.
This Tool Is Accurate
To ensure the accuracy of each daily account snapshot .csv, the EOS New York team wrote two separate applications in two different coding languages: Python & .NET. Both applications were run against the same nodeos instance and the outputs were confirmed to be identical.
This Tool Is Open Source
The code is open source and available at the following destinations for review or replication.
- Server plugin which exports a global list of accounts.
- Python script which collects the account information.
- .NET core application which collects the account information.
Your EOS == Your Airdrops
If you hold your tokens on an exchange it is up to that exchange to decide to deliver to you any airdrops that they receive on your behalf. We’ve written this guide if you wish to ensure airdrops are delivered to you as designed.
As of this post there are 274,106 accounts including system accounts and BlockOne.
