Now that our first round of application acceptances have been communicated, it’s time to start planning your trip to ETHDenver 2019.

Here are important dates, events, and logistics to consider:

#BUIDL Week Colorado (February 11th-14th)
Leading up to the ETHDenver #BUIDLATHON, the Colorado blockchain community will host #BUIDL Week, where ETHDenver participants, sponsors, and community members will host events and stream live content and workshops. #BUIDL Week is OPEN SOURCE. Anyone will have the opportunity to plan and host and event, and you can submit your event here. There is one day you should definitely plan to spend with us: Valentine’s Day! You don’t want to miss our #BeMyBufficorn Valentine’s Day Event at the ETHDenver venue.

The #BUIDLATHON (February 14th-17th)

Thursday — February 14th
We’ll be opening The Sports Castle all day Thursday, February 14th for early registration, free co-working, design thinking workshops, and icebreaker team matchmaking sessions to help attendees form teams if they haven’t yet. We’ll even host speed-dating (for teammates!) and a #BeMyBufficorn Valentine’s Day Event. Doors will open at 9AM and close for the evening at 9PM.

Friday — February 15th
ETHDenver’s Educational Workshops start at 8AM on Friday, February 15th at The Sports Castle. Developers, hackers, makers, and learners should plan to be at the #BUIDLATHON all day Friday because the majority of hackathon related workshops and Developer Tools content will be presented this day. Registration Friday will open at 8AM. An “Opportunities Fair” will take place at the sponsor level from 4:30PM-6PM where #Buidlers can connect to learn about work opportunities. After the workshops are complete (around 5PM), the Opening ceremonies will start at 6PM with #buidling (aka hacking) beginning at 8PM. There will be some Educations Workshops continuing after the Opening Ceremonies, so stay up!

Saturday — February 16th
Saturday’s content will begin with more Educational Workshops starting at 9AM and going until 11AM. Saturday will also feature our Luminaries Panels starting at 11AM and going until about 6PM. They will feature a wide range of thought leaders and topics from User Adoption, Society & Impact, Business 3.0 and more! Everything will culminate with a keynote address by best-selling author, prolific public speaker, and community #buidler Andreas M. Antonopoulos. Andreas will also host a book signing where you will be able to purchase a copy of his most recent release, Mastering Ethereum.

Sunday — February 17th
#Buidling will end Sunday, February 17th at 8AM with the project submission deadline at that time. Project judging will follow and go into the early afternoon. Sunday will also feature the #BUIDL Fair, a “science fair” style showcase where teams can share their projects with other #Buidlers, industry luminaries, the media, sponsors, and more. This will be followed by closing ceremonies and the official ETHDenver 2019 “Experience Colorado” After Party. All festivities will conclude 10PM on Sunday. Stay tuned for After After Party information!

Free Child Care at ETHDenver
Single parent? Busy schedule? Traveling from a distance? No problem! Parents deserve the chance to #BUIDL too! For the first time at an ETHGlobal event, child care will be offered at the ETHDenver 2019 #BUIDLATHON. Experienced professionals will oversee your child(ren)’s experience at no cost to you from 8AM-8PM daily. You will need to pre-book time slots for your child via our registration platform here; full details in this post.

Provided Food and Beverage
All #BUIDLATHON participants will have beverages/snacks/food truck meals provided for them. Speakers and those attending workshops will have access to food-trucks during meal hours, however, they will bear their own expense.

Where to Catch Some Zzzs in Denver
Whether you’re booking international or domestic flights, carpooling with your crew from another state, or you are joining us from just down the block, we have a few recommendations on where to stay while in the Mile High. ETHDenver will be ripe with couches, chill spaces, bean bags, and other resting amenities for those who wish to maximize hacking time and “power nap” (available Friday & Saturday evenings). If you would like to book more substantial, private accommodations, we recommend the following offsite options:

Official Hotels of ETHDenver 2019:
Art Hotel 1201 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203 (2 blocks away from venue)
— Limited Rooms at Special $149 Rate
Holiday Inn Express 401 17th St Denver, CO 80202
— Limited Rooms at Special $89 Rate (rate will appear after you select dates)

Additional Nearby Lodging Options:
AirBnB Variety of locations starting at $36/night

Mountain Retreat in Breckenridge (February 18th-21st)
After ETHDenver is over, stick around the beautiful state of Colorado for a few days of skiing, meals, libations, and blockchain nerdery. This year we’re headed to Breckenridge! Located under two hours west of Denver, this former mining town is now a world class ski resort destination that still holds true to its Victorian roots. It’s your retreat and you can relax how you want to, but we will also have a general event schedule you can pick and choose from.

ETHDenver will be providing complimentary bus transportation for 55 people who register for the Mountain Retreat. Register early as space is limited, although there are other carpool and rideshare options. The bus will board from the Denver Art Hotel to Breckenridge on Monday, February 18th at 9:30AM and return to Denver from Breckenridge on Thursday, February 21st at 10:30AM. You can register for retreat transportation here; transportation requests will be confirmed on January 31st.

You’re invited to secure lodging near the BreckConnect Gondola (this is located 2 blocks from our main ETHDenver event house) or anywhere within Breckenridge. Book early for the best rates and check out these nearby options for starters:

AirBnB Homes & Condos
Mountain Thunder Lodge
River Mountain Lodge
