Ethereum Cat Herders Update #20
Slightly behind schedule, like all good things in Ethereum, here is another Ethereum Cat Herder community update. You can read the previous one here.
EthCC Workshop 🇫🇷
Two weeks ago, a few Cat Herders gave a workshop at EthCC to solicit the community’s ideas on how we can reduce barriers to entry in Ethereum. We discussed how people get onboarded to Ethereum, what people with various skillsets can contribute to the ecosystem and the importance of local meetups. You can read the full recap here.
Consensus 2020 📺
For Consensus 2020, which will now be hosted online, the Cat Herders will be putting together a set of speakers to give introductions to a wide range of topics, from DeFi to the transition from Eth1 to Eth2. If you have ideas or requests, feel free to jump in our Gitter channel and share them 😁.
Youtube EF Impersonation 😡
There has been a surge in Youtube channels impersonating the EF and trying to scam people. The Cat Herders have been working towards trying to get those taken down in order to stop misleading people. Still a WIP, but we hope to make a large dent in it over the next few weeks.
Chief Herder 🎖
In order to provide better coordination and have more accountability within ECH, we are considering hiring a part-time “Chief Herder”. This person would be the main project manager for ECH and help make sure that things run smoothly.
