This Week in Useful Tokens showed some really strong development, with Maker putting in massive amounts of effort, 2 new token listings on Ethex, Dent making massive moves and hitting goals early, and much more. This is a great update and worth the read.

Maker DAI

Maker had an absolutely monster week with multiple platform integrations, an interview with President and COO of Maker Steven Becker, and a hiring announcement.

Maker announced within the last week that they are integrating into Decentraland, Compound, and Cryptocup. Decentraland is a a virtual platform that allows users to purchase “land” with the hope of selling it later at a higher price. It operates in a similar way to how real land is treated, but on a permanent, blockchain-based platform. Compound is an open-source protocol for algorithmic, efficient money markets on the Ethereum blockchain. Dai is the first Compound market to make use of an adjusted interest rate model, which lowers borrowing costs for Dai, and ensures a minimum interest rate available to Dai holders. Cryptocup is a prediction platform for sports. Their integration of Dai allows Cryptocup users to feel more confident in placing wagers, as there will be less of a fluctuation in token pricing.

Along with all of these great integrations, Steven Becker sat down with Cheddar to discuss the recent boom in stable coins. You can listen and watch this short interview here.

Maker also released their Making Maker monthly report for November, which included all their updates from Devcon, various meetups, partnerships and more. Check out the full article here.

Maker released a report on stable coin use cases, which dives into the necessity to utilized decentralized services that provide stable value. This was an interesting read and should be checked out here.

Dent

It should come as not surprise to anyone that follows this space that Dent has continued to make rapid expansion. However, this week they reached a huge milestone with adding Indonesia to their list of available countries. They set a goal to be available in the top 5 countries by population by the end of the year, and that has been achieved with the over 264 million residents of the island nation. They have also added Uganda, bringing their total coverage to 140 operators in 41 countries. Keep up the great work Dent!

iExec

iExec held multiple meetups this week, as well as released their dev letter. iExec was active in Changsha, China as well as hosting two events in Paris on December 6. This creates a good sense of community around their projects and shows that they are available and open. Additionally, the release of their dev letter showed how iExec can help developers decentralize their existing applications. Check out the full article here.

district0x

district0x has been added to the list of Useful Tokens on Ethex, and we are happy to have them come on board. For those that are unfamiliar, district0x is a large market of decentralized markets and communities. We see them as being very useful and are excited to grow with them.

This week district0x released their weekly report, which included the bi-weekly dev report, as well as a summar of their continued mission of transparency with Messari. Check out the full article here, and give them a warm Ethex welcome!
