The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes, has financial interests in a business linked to the Kremlin-licensed company.

Scott Dworkin of Democratic Coalition and Palmer report shared LA Times facts on Nunes’ investment:

Alpha Omega Winery responded by removing Luding from its distributors’ list and the following message on Twitter:

However, there is different information on the Internet, in Russian and English. Luding Ltd group is a major Russian distributor of alcoholic beverages.

The Presidential Property Management Department of the Russian Federation grants a license to use the Kremlin brand and gets royalties from beverage producers. Products under the brand “Kremlin” are freely supplied to the market and used at official events in the Kremlin. On DECEMBER 14, 2010, Luding signed a license agreement to launch Kremlin Award cognac.

Trading House Kremlevsky, owned by the Office of the President of Russia registered six brands of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages under the Kremlin brand, as reported by RBC daily. (Kremlin vodka, Kremlin Beer, Kremlin lemonades, Kremlin drinks, Kremlin sparkling wine and Kremlyovsky brandy.)

Four days prior to this deal, on December 10, 2010, a Luding’s executive was shot in his car in Moscow:

Luding has a long relationship with the Administrative Services of the President of the Russian Federation.

Oct 27, 2005.

The order of “The Star of Fatherland” awarded to the Luding management, with the First Deputy Chief of Administrative Services of the President of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Administration of the President, State Duma, Council of Federation present.

The top House Democrats called on Nunes to recuse himself from the investigation into the Russian ties with the Trump administration.
