School days are here again and summer is in the rearview window.

I hope you’ve had good times and made wonderful memories. Why not take a moment to share them with us.

September Prompt — Your favorite Summer Memory of 2022

This was the first summer since COVID hit that we could do some more wider traveling and visiting. Did you go anywhere special? Did you take any extra health precautions? Did you have a staycation? Did you go glamping? Whatever is your best summer memory, we hope you’ll share it with us. Whatever it is, we want to hear about it.

There is no right or wrong answer to this prompt. As long as it’s your truth, that’s what matters. Family Matters is always a safe place to share your perspectives on family and parenting.

Rules:

· Your piece needs to be a minimum of 800 words.

· Poetry is not accepted.

· It must be written for the reader. Pieces that are written in the style of a diary entry generally do not give anything to the reader. Think about what message you want to get across. How do you want the reader to feel after they have finished your piece? Is there anything you want them to learn or look at differently?

· Tag your work with “prompt”

· Your work has to be related to family and/or parenting. Please tag your work with one or both of these.

· If you would like to enter this challenge but are not a writer for Family Matters, please email an unpublished Medium draft of your entry to familymatterspublication@gmail.com with “September 2022 Prompt” as the subject.

· If you are currently a writer for Family Matters, submit your piece as you would with any other submission.

· Follow Medium’s Curation Guidelines

· Please read our Submission Guidelines and FAQs for more information.

We are excited to read your entries.

Good luck!
