Member-Event offers real-life VIP experience for NFT owners

We always push to make FANZONE the best product possible — with the best fan experience — so we were excited for a long-awaited highlight at the beginning of March 2022: Our first IRL member-event! We met with 25 German top-users of our Discord community at a Bundesliga home game of our partner VfL Wolfsburg.

The exclusive VIP “Sky Lounge” was our setting for an amazing get-together were users had a chance to get in touch with the FANZONE team members and founders. Top-notch catering and the HipHop & Latino tunes of DJ “Eddy the Gun” set the atmosphere for the Bundesliga match VfL Wolfsburg vs. Union Berlin. Our goal is to also reward our NFT owners with real-life benefits. Our user Chromleiste won a signed VfL Wolfsburg jersey for owning a limited “Welcome back Max Kruse” NFT (1of50)! As you can see NFTs can bring people together, but also get sports fans more connected to their favorite sports teams — even though we have to say, some of our Berlin-based users were also rooting passionately for Eisern Union.

In the end the home team VfL Wolfsburg won with 1:0 versus Union Berlin. But Wolfsburg is just one of many official sports partners of FANZONE:

Through their cooperation with FANZONE, which deals in digital trading cards, many of the above mentioned teams and athletes have already entered the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) — limited, customisable objects that are permanently assigned to individuals and can increase in value.

With future drops being designed with more and more utility there’s also higher potential for new sports fans testing out NFTs for the first time. Increased fan engagement is what all clubs and leagues are looking for, and FANZONE is one major piece in that Web3 puzzle.
