We already showed you how to kick and stop penalties, now is time to know some more about our game! Take a look at this FAQs:

What is the game about?

Kicking penalties! … Or try to stop them. Every football player card from every football zone can be used to play.

In the STRIKER mode you choose a card to shoot the penalty with.

In the GOALKEEPER mode you assign a goalkeeper card to defend goal areas.

How many goalkeepers do I need? And strikers?

You just need one goalkeeper per day. Once assigned, the goalkeeper will continue to try to defend your goal and earn rewards.

For strikers you’ll need to select a different one for each shot, as each of them can only be used once a day. If you don’t have enough cards, you could pay a small fee to use the same striker again.

How many penalties can I shoot per day?

You can shoot a maximum of 20 penalties per day.

Which card editions can play?

All player cards from every football zone are supported! From Basic to Euro Special cards, and everything in between.

Strikers, Midfielders and Defender cards can be used for the STRIKER mode. Goalkeepers can only be used for the GOALKEEPER mode.

Is the game divided by genders?

Not at all! We don’t make gender distinctions. That means women and men cards can play together. It also has no influence on the calculation.

At the time of choosing your players, remember that…

Cards must be in your collection and not on the market at the time of participation in the penalty game. For example, the goalkeeper you choose will be blocked for the period of time he’s playing, meaning that it can’t be offered in the market. This rule will always apply, so you can only use cards that you keep 100% reserved during their use in the game

Is there a participation fee?

There’s no participation fee for the Penalties Game. But we’ve implemented Energy Charges which will be used across future Fanzone games which will limit the amount of games you can play in a row. You gain one Energy Charge every hour and you can store up to three at the same time.

If that’s too slow for you, we offer the option to pay a small amount of FNC to keep playing. But you won’t be able to play more than the daily limit so we keep the competition fair.

Can I see who I’m playing against?

You can see the mint number you’re playing against and also get in touch with other players by joining the <<penalties-game>> channel in our Discord.
With our future game implementations you’ll be able to see your rival.

I scored the penalty, so I’m a winner! What happens next?

For winning, you’ll get granted Reward Points and Leaderboard Trophies. You’ll also be able to complete achievements to earn even more Reward Points and some FNC.

In STRIKER mode you have to score 3 times with no interruptions to get rewards.

In GOALKEEPER mode you earn guaranteed reward points for each time you stop a penalty, and there’s a small chance that you also get a tiny bit of FNCs.

I lost, what happens now?

If you lose, you won’t get any Trophies and you’ll receive only a tiny amount of Reward Points.

How will Fanzone calculate the Reward Points from each game played?

The rewards are tied to your opponents. If you play against harder opponents, you’ll receive more Reward Points. We always give out some bonus Reward Points for choosing the hardest opponent.

How does the Leaderboard works?

The leaderboard for the penalty game will be based on Trophies. Going forward, it’s likely that each new game will get their own leaderboard and trophies which are only tied to that game. As you’re collecting trophies for scoring goals you’ll also be climbing up the leaderboard. In the beginning we start out with a simple leaderboard but in the future, there will also be leaderboards tied to timeframes (e.g. monthly or by season) which will automatically reward users for their placement and reset itself. We will create a community challenge tied to the leaderboard once it launches.

And there’s more to come…

The release of the penalty game will be a BETA. We called it a BETA to let you know we’re not done yet with the mode and plan on improving on it and adding more features.

The BETA release is just a first step. The Penalty Game will continue to evolve together with FANZONE.

One of the bigger updates will be a career system where we’ll convert Reward Points into Career XP which you’ll be able to use to upgrade your ranks and earn rewards. The games will be the best ways to earn Career XP. The next improvement will be the implementation of a proper leaderboard.
