Series Introduction

Welcome to the official blog of Feather Premium Laundry Company. My name is Sand Farnia, I’m the founder. This series documents my journey as I build this company.

This blog series exists for 4 reasons:

1. Public accountability — I have found in many of my endeavors that when I make my goals public, I’m much more inspired to achieve them. That sort of inspiration is priceless and is the primary reason this blog exists.
2. Transparency — I believe in being open and honest with everyone in the organization from the leaders, to the team, to the customers, to the fans. This blog will provide a window into the heart of this company.
3. Story — Stories help us remember and put our decisions in context. I want to remember this story.
4. Data — If the story is the context, the numbers are the content. Data helps us see where we are flourishing, and where we need to put more effort.

In this series I’m telling the story of this company as it happens. Feather Laundry is just 1 person, me. There’s no team, no employees, no investors, and very little money. I’m starting with $10,000 I had left in my 401k and a dream of financial freedom. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
