Aliens visit the Old West of the 1800’s

Slim sauntered along the trail aimlessly, whistling. Hearing something behind him, he watched as a flying saucer landed. An opening appeared and two purple aliens materialized.
“Hello!” Slim yelled, shaking till his spurs were jingling.
No reply. They just stared with enormous eyes.
“What do you propose, gentlemen?” Slim asked shakily.
No response.
Now terrified, Slim drew his revolver and fired. Uninjured, the beings stood there, gawking.
A gun identical to Slim’s suddenly materialized in one being’s hand. He fired, killing Slim.
Turning to his associate he muttered in Roxicillian, “My bad! I thought that’s the way they said, ‘Hello!’”
