I’ve been programming for money for 50 years and have probably written programs in 100 languages. When I’m programming I need to stop and think— or even Google — because I don’t actually remember offhand the exact syntax or library function. This is especially hard with C, C++, Java, and JavaScript. And frankly, no job I want cares if I can code a binary search tree on a whiteboard in an hour.
Oh, and I promise not every shortform post on here will be about why something sucks.
