It’s our pleasure to share our first update letter with you. It outlines our achievements, insights and our direction going forward. October was an awesome month for us. Here is why.
We reached out and every fifth person applied
Over the last month, we reached out to founders at tech startups and invited them to apply. What followed was an enormous validation of our vision.
Who responded?
Here is a sneak preview into the statistics that speaks for itself. Almost half of the founders we invited visited the Founders Platform page and every fifth person applied. That’s exciting! We are grateful for each and every founder who applied. It was amazing to see the wealth and diversity of talent.
The numbers
The founders demographics
- Diversity: Nationalities from across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
- Coverage: 24 countries including Germany, India, Israel, Singapore, UK, USA, etc.
- Experience: 50% serial founders.
- Gender: 31% are female.
- Generation: Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers.
Their tech companies
- Stage: 38% already started scaling.
- Investment: €50+ million in total attracted capital disclosed to us.
- Industry: Products in technology sectors like CleanTech, EdTech, FashionTech, FinTech, FoodTech, HealthTech, InsurTech, RetailTech, etc.
- Technology: Leveraging groundbreaking tech such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Biotech, Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR), etc.
Why did they apply?
“I want to meet other people who want to make the world better by simplifying lifestyle and business using technology.” — said by one of our applicants.
More than half of the applicants value making a difference for others, 60% believe in the importance of having a vision for the future and future generations, 68% look forward to being involved in meaningful discussions with other founders and over 70% are focused on joining the platform to learn personally and professionally, and prosper.
What’s next?
The first twenty founders who sign-in to our platform will become our founding users. We will be inviting founders in batches to sign-up over the coming weeks. They will have the opportunity to share their challenges, provide their perspectives into the challenges of other founders and experience the Founders Platform. They will also get a feel of what is yet to come alongside the opportunity to meet their counterparts. In the last months, we have been talking with people from all over the world who want to join our team. This month, the spotlight is on Andres Zilveti who joined us as a Social Media expert. He was residing in Houston, USA when we first met and has recently relocated to Perth, Australia. That’s the beauty of being an online team, you can do what you love from anywhere.
