FreeFlix Media — Announcing support for Cosmos India’s community & initiatives
India has become a very vibrant startup & technology ecosystem in the last decade and many entrepreneurs and executives of Indian origin, have had success stories within and outside the country.
Even then, we believe there’s a lot of untapped potential among the 1B+ people who do not have access to basic infrastructure to take it to the next level. With open source, right ideology and a collaborative nature within & outside the organisation, it is quite possible to not only create solutions for domestic problems, but also to scale them globally.
As a team that’s worked only with mobile internet (hotspot) since late March 2020 and having received an award for our participation in Cosmos Game of Zones was in our view a miracle, achieved by remote people functioning in sync, to achieve a common goal. We believe this can scale!
Association with Cosmos India
Create. Curate. Collaborate.
Today, we announce that we join Persistence One in India to support the cause and to spread the word about Cosmos within the country. Although we’re aware of the efforts and have been discussing multiple activities, we feel excited to formally support Cosmos India’s community & initiatives.
The support & collaboration is focused not only increase awareness and promote the cause of FOSS, decentralization & the Cosmos ecosystem within India, but also represent the Indian & the Asian communities globally to expand the scope of opportunities.
The current aim is to move ahead with a 3-fold association with Cosmos India:
1) Create
products & opportunities for the entire Cosmos ecosystem
2) Curate
ideas, efforts and knowledge of the community
3) Collaborate
with the community & wider Cosmos India ecosystem
Cosmos India’s community efforts until now have been very encouraging to the Indian blockchain & decentralization ecosystem and we believe this is on the right track along with Persistence One, that has had collaborations on multiple fronts with projects within the Cosmos ecosystem.
With students being the backbone of communities in the sub-continent, we aim to enable not just technical awareness of blockchain & FOSS to technologists, but impart this knowledge to the non-technical talent of India to further strengthen the diversity within every community.
With FreeFlix Media, we intend to provide media resources and an entry into the relatively safe world of media where students and non-technical folks can experiment and easily pick up base decentralization/blockchain related concepts, while with Cosmic Compass we intend to provide low-code to no-code tools for students and technical folks to produce better products.
We believe, that, with macro-economic changes post-COVID (developer communities, startups opting for remote work, blockchain network operations, etc.), we are truly excited to initiate the association and take it to the next level within the Cosmos India community and the wider Cosmos ecosystem.
