In 2015 I wrote a heartfelt email to a dear friend full of despair and anguish. The email she sent in return was titled “From my broken heart to yours”. I have never forgotten it, or the gentle message of love, care and shared heartbreak that email contained. Instantly, miraculously, I was less alone. That is an immensely powerful thing! Those words still have the power to bestow a feeling of connection and understanding whenever I think of them. Like life, there is a combination of joy, love, pain and heartbreak, discovery and loss in these pages. I hope the contents of this publication will help you feel less alone.
