Biohacking is a movement that promotes the improvement of human beings by adding technology to the body or by using substances such as nootropics. We’ve already talked about this subject on several occasions, from the first article of this series to the HVMN Biohacker Guide. The main objective is to enhance physical and mental capacities.

This movement has gained strength in some countries, specially in Sweden. For several years, a Swedish biohacking group, Bionyfiken, has been introducing chips into the hands of thousands of people in various countries such as the USA, the UK, France, Germany and Mexico.

In Sweden, in particular, more than 3.000 people have already inserted a microchip under their skin in order to satisfy different daily needs: entering the train or gym, paying at vending machines or clocking at the office.

These “implants” are the size of a grain of rice and the procedure for implanting them is similar to that of a piercing. Obviously, the pros come with a lot of cons related to privacy or a possible hacking of those chips. What do you think? Would you insert a chip under your skin?
