Cursed DAO: Conclusion of CIP-01

As mentioned in our last article, Cursed DAO: Improvement Proposals, the team has introduced Cursed Improvement proposals that are now being used to enable community engagement to shape and build the future of Cursed DAO.

The very first Cursed Improvement Proposal

CIP-01, which included several votes surrounding the minting parameters of our ‘Summoning Event’ (due later this year), was launched in the Galleon discord server as part of the Cursed (Sub)DAO.

It was posted within a read-only channel and had an accompanying discussion thread.

Engagement on the post and thread has been fantastic, and we’re happy to announce the conclusion of each of the votes:

#1 Mint Schedule, Mint Whitelist Start:

9 am(BST)
12 pm (BST)
5 pm(BST) — Winner

#2 Mint Schedule, Whitelist mint period duration:

2 Hours
4 Hours
8 Hours — Winner

#3 Mint Allocation, Public mint — Max per wallet:

One NFT(s)
Two NFT(s)
Three NFT(s) — Winner

To clarify the above, the whitelist mint will begin at 5 pm (BST) and last for 8 hours. The whitelist mint allocation will be 1 per wallet; the public mint allocation will be 3 per wallet*

*Whitelisted wallets will be able to mint in both pre-and public mint stages.

What happens next

The team will start planning the minting process; As mentioned at the start of CIP-01, we will try our best to accommodate the results; there may be some minor tweaks to timings as with the current parameters above, the public mint would go live at 3 am(BST), which might mean the team were unavailable for public launch. However, any slight changes — and they would be slight — will be announced to the community well in advance of the mint date.

Future CIP(s)

Following the great engagement within the community, we have decided to continue with the same model; future CIPs will be launched in discord and help prevent community fragmentation across multiple unnecessary platforms.

The next vote will most likely be post-mint and therefore require a Cursed Pirate NFT to take part in both the discussion of a proposal and the voting on our snapshot page:
