The Light Inside
Dedicated to a beautiful soul who struggles
Leonard was right,
there is a crack in everything
where the light leaks —
whether in or out is the thing.
For it’s when the pain overwhelms
and the bell no longer rings
or the bell jar suffocates you
that your beautiful light seeps out.
I want to seal that crack
and lock that light in.
