Your GawkBox Store is OPEN for Business!
Meet the Wallet and Store Update.
We’ve just released one of our biggest updates yet. Here’s how to navigate it.
To get started, you’ll have to:
- Clear your cache (cookies), log out and log back in, and
- Update your Widget (Browser Source) links in your broadcasting software.
With the Wallet and Store update, each of your viewers now has a “Wallet” that allows them to complete offers and accrue funds whenever they’d like, and then use those funds to donate to you when you’re streaming.
That’s not all, though —your donating viewers can now spice up their donations by selecting stickers to donate with in their favorite creator’s Store. Here’s what an example store looks like:
“This means your viewers will be able to earn funds into their wallet at any time of the day; at school, at work, or on the bus, and then use those funds to donate to you during your broadcasts.”
Because this update was such a big change, there are a few small bugs that we’ve found in the first 24 hours that we’re in the process of fixing. Here’s what you need to know.
Experiencing any issues?
- Clear your Cache (Cookies) and browser history, and log out and back into GawkBox.
If you’re still connected to the old GawkBox, you may experience issues saving your settings, and you may see some odd error messages. Most of the current issues are related to this! When in doubt, clear your cookies and log out.
2. Missing Donations on your Leaderboards?
If you’re not seeing donations from before April on your Leaderboard widget and profile Leaderboard, it’s because our system isn’t currently showing donation information from before this release. We’re working on different ways to get that historical info to you!
3. My Alerts/Leaderboard/Widgets aren’t working!
Because we’ve re-worked our widgets, remember to go back into your GawkBox dashboard to copy and paste your New Browser Source links into your broadcasting software. Our new alerts don’t have sound quite yet and they’re a bit quicker than before, but we’ll be adding those features — and more — back in shortly.
