Design part of Bridge V2.0
In order to maintain a smooth and efficient network operation, based on the v1.0 architecture, V2.0 is designed with the following mechanisms:
1 Farmer reliability assessment
The reliability of the farmer is critical to the network, but the farmer is also very unstable (as is currently the case). Therefore, we need a reliability evaluation function for the following purposes:
A provide a clear, quantifiable, timely feedback indicator that urges farmer to improve stability
B provide a basis for the distribution of fragments to further ensure the security of user files
(When investigating the reliability of a farmer, the following factors should be included: a. offline duration b. quantity of the fragments lost)
2 Fragment distribution strategy
Based on the farmer reliability assessment function, the bridge can decide which farms to save the fragments to based on reliability. Before discussing a specific strategy, define several levels of farmer (set reliability to R):
1. Excellent (R> 0.9)
2. General (0.6 < R ≤ 0.9)
3. Poor (R ≤ 0.6)
Then, the bridge should distribute the shards according to the policy:
generally:
Excellent: 2, general: 3, poor: 1
Excellent level or reliability farmers are unavailable:
Excellent: 1, general: 5 highest
Excellent: 0, general: 6 highest
Excellent, general level of reliability farmers are unavailable:
The 6 most reliable farmers.
