Detox Salads

The Super-food Detox Salad

This recipe is quite popular nowadays with Kale being the main ingredient. Wash the kale thoroughly, and then cut the stalks off, leaving the crunchy leaves. Then chop them into bite sized pieces. Set aside and prepare the dressing. Add fresh lemon Juice and maple syrup in a bowl. To this add a pinch of cinnamon for added flavor. In a large bowl, add the kale along with some poppy seeds(which must be boiled). To this add fresh blueberries and the dressing. Toss it well and the super-food salad is ready to be served.

The Spinach Detox Salad

For the dressing take a small bowl and add one tablespoon lemon juice, a pinch of red pepper flakes, one teaspoon sesame oil, one tablespoon rice wine vinegar, one teaspoon honey and a pinch of salt. In a large bowl add one full cup of baby spinach. To this add half a cup of lettuce, some shredded carrot, two green onions, one tablespoon Chia seeds, half avocado and some tossed green and red onions. Mix all of these and then add the dressing. Toss it well and serve immediately. Add some berries of your choice and some almonds for added flavor.

The Salmon Salad

In a large bowl add eight ounces smoked salmon, roughly chopped, one avocado, peeled, pitted and diced, four cups of baby spinach, half a cup of fresh blueberries, half red onion, thinly sliced. For the dressing take another bowl and mix five tablespoons of olive oil, one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, one tablespoon of Chia seeds, one tablespoon of honey and a pinch of salt. Mix all the ingredients of the salad with the dressing. Serve fresh.

Paleo Detox salad

In a large bowl add one cup of cauliflower, one cup of broccoli and half a cup of parsley. To this added some shredded carrot and beet root. Mix some freshly squeezed lemon juice and a pinch of sea salt. Add some honey for added flavor. Toss it well and serve immediately.

Rainbow Salad

In a bowl add some fresh baby spinach, some freshly chopped green, red and yellow capsicum, some shredded carrots, half a cup of cauliflower and some red onions. Toss it up by adding some olive oil, black pepper, chilly and salt. Serve it fresh for maximum flavor.
