Gavin Kelly is Chief Executive of the Resolution Trust and Chair of the Living Wage Commission. He writes on economics, politics and public policy. He has also been Chief Executive of the Resolution Foundation (2010–15), Deputy Chief of Staff at 10 Downing Street, member of the Council of Economic Advisors at HM Treasury, Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State at the Department for Education and an advisor in the Downing Street Policy Unit. Prior to working in government he taught economics and politics at the University of Sheffield where he received his doctorate. He is a trustee of the Resolution Foundation, member of the Political Quarterly editorial board, and sits on the advisory board of a number of organisations including The Washington Centre for Equitable Growth and SPERI at the University of Sheffield.
