Joris Bastien joins Globcoin’s Advisory Board
We’re very glad to welcome Joris Bastien to Globcoin’s task force as a valuable advisor to several projects. Joris has a great experience with currency hedging and he is the founder of Quantaraxia, an independent firm offering and customized innovative investment solutions.
He has worked as Portfolio Manager for reputable firms like WorldQuant, with over 600 employees all over the World; and Hudson Bay Capital, a multi-billion dollar asset management firm operating in New York and London.
His hedging expertise will be very valuable mainly for the new Crypto Hedging Service offered by Optiminvest; a company found by our CEO Helie d’Hautefort. He will join the Quantitative Research Team in charge of designing quantitative systems, which will later generate signals for hedging services. Helie and Joris have actually worked together before; when Joris was Head of Research for Overlay Asset Management (the firm that would later become Optiminvest).
Joris will also work in assessing large trends in the crypto market while our stablecoin GLX (linked to a basket of 15 currencies and gold) is listed on exchanges against BTC and ETH.
