Great Alaska Road Trip: Day 4

It’s day 4 of our Great Alaska Road Trip, and we’re about halfway through the drive!

Today was a lot of driving.

We woke up in Winnipeg, and even though we had gained an hour as we moved into Central Standard Time, R had a hard time getting out of bed. I ended up driving the first few hours with him fast asleep in the back seat, and me happily blasting Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” album (which I can’t do when he is awake!).

At around 10 am, we pulled into a rest stop 10 minutes out of Neepawa, Manitoba to put in a few hours of work. It was a beautiful spot, with picnic tables amongst the trees and a calming lake to look out on.

We were also able to recharge our battery banks, which had been completely depleted over the last night.
