“Tall Tales” are a new type of voyage in Sea of Thieves that inject lore, narrative, and new mechanics into the game. The first arc, Shores of Gold, holds nine Tales each with unique puzzles and challenges, and you can find guides to all of these Tales here.

Rewards
Each Tale awards a cosmetic item the first time you complete the chapter.
During a Tale, hidden journals appear in the world for that story. If you’ve completed the voyage five times AND found all the journals, you get another cosmetic item.
Each time you complete a Tall Tale, you also earn 8000 Gold
