Highlights and Wins
🏆 So much is happening in the GoodDollar ecosystem! Here’s what we’re celebrating this month.
1. GoodWallet V2 launched, featuring compatability with Celo
The GoodWallet now works directly with the Celo blockchain, making it easy to claim GoodDollar multichain!
With the latest wallet updates, GoodDollar claimers can claim G$ tokens daily from both the Fuse and Celo UBI distribution contracts right in the easy-to-use GoodWallet interface. Users can use GoodWallet to claim once from each chain every day and new users who sign up for a wallet can start claiming immediately on both chains too.
2. Earn 500 G$ Reward for each new friend invited to join GoodDollar with a new invite bonus campaign funded by Celo
Starting May 3, GoodDollar members can receive 500 G$ on Celo for each friend they invite who makes their first claim. Plus, as a thank you for joining the community, each friend will receive 250 G$ on Celo too! That’s a 5X increase in rewards for inviting friends, all thanks to funding from the Celo Foundation.
This special rewards campaign will be active until Monday May 15 so be sure to invite your friends early in order to guarantee you don’t miss out on the increased rewards.
3. GoodDollar is on Instagram
Technically we aren’t new to completely new to Instagram, but thanks to the amazing work of our new community manager Raphael, our page has recently come back to life! You can now expect to see regular product updates, community call recaps, informational posts, great reels, and more on our profile.
4. GoodDollar’s Executive Director Anna Stone presented at Consensus 2023
At the end of April, GoodDollar’s Executive Director and Founder Anna Stone represented GoodDollar in Austin at Consensus and related events, including ReFi House hosted by Celo and Flowcarbon and Open Future Forum hosted by OnePiece Labs. Consensus is one of the biggest Web3 gatherings in the world, and it was a great opportunity to meet some of our long-time partners and collaborators in real life, plus make lots of new friends.
5. GoodDollar on the Cryptonews Podcast
GoodDollar Executive Director and Founder Anna Stone was interviewed on the Cryptonews podcast. In the episode, she discussed universal basic income, repairing crypto’s reputation, the future of financial inclusion, and how we can build a more open financial system.

GoodDAO Update
🏦 What’s happening in the GoodDAO right now? It’s the renewal of community moderators. [GIP- 12.1] Continuation community moderation is happening now.
From the proposal:
“Community moderators have completed our first year of community moderation and now we want to continue if the community supports us. We have the task of reviewing/filtering and transmitting the information obtained from the central team to the community and vice versa, giving support to those who need it, especially trying to guide and educate new people, who in many cases are obtaining their first cryptocurrency.”

📽️ New Community Video
During GoodDollar’s presentation at Consensus, we revealed a new short video that highlights three of our community members. Check it out!
🎓 GoodDollar Cameroon at ESSEC The GoodDollar Cameroon team spoke about economic intelligence and the challenges of Web3 at the Innovation and Enterprise Club (IE Club) at the prestigious ESSEC business school Douala Cameroon.
🗣️ GoodDollar at Proof of Community GoodDollar Ambasador Ewuoso from Nigeria was a speaker at a Proof of Community Event hosted by Shardeum in Abeokuta. He presented about the advantages of Web3 and introduced the audience to GoodDollar, explaining how anyone can be part of a circular economy by claiming and using the G$.

🎙️ April Community Call Recap Due to holidays early in the month, we only had one community call in the month of April. Community Calls happen every other week on Discord, and anyone is welcome to join!

Causes of the Month
🔥 Pesia’s Kitchen
Yoni Ben Ami runs Pesia’s Kitchen in South Tel Aviv, a food pantry and soup kitchen for those in need. One of the earliest GoodDollar community members, Yoni accepts donations in G$ tokens to help pay for the meals he provides at Pesia’s. With an average cost of 588 G$ per meal (approximately .10 cents), claiming G$ every day for 1 week can pay for a meal for a person in need at Pesia’s.
