Klaus Sitte’s lecture on Montana’s Residential Landlord-Tenant Act is a fantastic resource for renters and real estate professionals.

The ASUM Renter Center is building a YouTube channel with resources for student renters. We recently featured a video on fair housing and discrimination which is well worth watching before you set out to rent.

Anyone becoming a landlord or renters who want a deep understanding of their rights can watch Principles of Montana Residential Landlord & Tenant Law by Klaus Sitte. Klaus personally worked on drafting the Residential Landlord and Tenant act of 1977, and has years of experience advising and representing low-income tenants as an attorney at both Montana Legal Services Association and ASUM Legal Services.

Of course, there is no substitute for a live training. Although Klaus is retired from ASUM Legal Services, he is sometimes available to train groups. If you are interested, contact the ASUM Renter Center to find out more.
