Due to numerous complaints in the past about quizzes not being submitted/completed due to unstable internet connection, Hamoye has found a way to ensure that the bulk, if not all, of the quizzes our interns attempt from anywhere in the world has a better chance of being submitted and completed. As a result, here is the sequel to How to Take Quizzes on the Hamoye Platform.

An important thing to note is this, you should click on the Quiz button only when you are absolutely ready to take your quiz, you have confirmed that your internet connection is good, and power supply will be sufficient for the duration of the quiz.

So taking off from where we left off in the previous instructions, and backing it a bit further up:

  1. The moment the quiz is opened, take note of the “ End Time” at the left side of the centre page to adjust your pace accordingly. How the “End Time” works is this; if you have 10 minutes for a quiz and you begin by 6:52pm (your time zone) as shown below, your end time will be 7:52pm (your time zone)

2. Also, heed the warning attached directly under the heading “Graded Quiz”, namely, “No option to retake”. This bit of instruction applies to all the quizzes you will take on the Hamoye platform.

3. Begin and scroll to the end of the quiz(if you already haven’t) and you will find three clickable options. It has been established that the “cancel”option is not to be selected under any circumstances. If you choose to Cancel a quiz, there will be no option to redo the quiz at a later time, it will no longer be accessible.

5. Next to the “cancel” button is “Save Progress”. This is literally a lifesaver. If you are working with an unstable network, or a device that can go off any time soon (all of which are advised against except in extremely rare situations), it is recommended that you click “Save progress” as often as possible to get your work recorded.

Every time you click “save progress”, a note appears on the screen as seen below, to assure you that your progress is being saved.

6. As soon as you are done with your quiz, take a moment to look through your answer selections and Save Progress one last time. Do a quick scan after you’ve clicked “Save Progress” to make sure your selections are what you want to submit then click on “Complete Quiz”.

7. When you make an attempt to submit the quiz, this prompt pops up to be sure you really wish to submit your quiz. And if you are certain you are done with the quiz, go ahead and re-affirm your wish to submit.

Voila! The quiz is done. All the best, you got this.
