Episode 7 — Our US Team Joins the Big Leagues

Hi there — I’m Will (Talent Acquisition Manager — Global Operations) and I’m back for the seventh instalment of Team Hawk-Eye: The People Podcast Blog. Each month I’m talking to one of our amazing team members so that we can give you insight into what it’s like to be a part of Hawk-Eye. If you didn’t catch the last one, you can find it here: Episode 6.

This episode features Jacqueline Paul, part of our incredible team of Systems Operators based in Atlanta, GA. She’s going to talk to us about what it’s like working on our project with Major League Baseball (MLB). To listen to the latest instalment of The People Podcast:

In a typical Baseball season, each of the 30 Major League teams will play 162 games, a total of 2,430 games overall, plus the post-season; and our team of Systems Operators will be responsible for delivering our services to every single one of them.

The team will travel the US during the off-season to manage installations of our sophisticated tracking technology and will then support games remotely from our North American HQ in Atlanta. In a typical regular-season week, Jacqueline and the team will be involved in around 20 games each per week.

But what might surprise you is that you don’t need expert-level knowledge of Baseball or tech. We’re always looking for great people that will fit into the Hawk-Eye team and who can learn our systems and services.

It’s not always a walk in the (ball) park, as working in live sport brings unique challenges and pressures; but it’s our people, like Jacqueline, that make the difference.

If you want to be a part of Hawk-Eye in North America, check out our vacancies HERE.
