Officials from President Donald Trump’s administration is in discussion with the South Korean manufacturer Samsung on setting up more semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the United States. In the past we heard that the White House had approached Intel and TSMC to talk about building factories in the stateside, following the COVID-19 outbreak and also the increasing diplomatic tension between US and China, as they are one of the world’s largest supply chain in the industry.
