A Better Deal For Men And Women
Time for a better option for everyone.
As a man, two types of stories somewhat annoy me. Stories written by women about how bad marriage is for women, and stories written by women about how the hookup culture is bad for women.
The Marriage Trap
The common narrative about marriage is it is a patriarchal institution of abuse. Enslaved by biology and their husbands, denied their careers, and the ones doing ALL the work in the family. Ok, if women want to see motherhood that way, that is their business.
As a man, marriage is something very depraved for us as well. We give the best years of our lives, and all our money to a family, and then when the wife decides she wants something else or someone else, she takes half of what money is left, and as the main caregiver, vindictively and nastily turns the children against the father, especially the daughters who are vulnerable to gender affinity. What kind of a deal is that for men? Maybe marriage sucks for everyone and needs to be completely rethought. Not sure anyone is happy with it today.
