Claiming CityChallenge loyalty Token
This document will provide a detailed documentation on how to claim the CityChallenge loyalty Token.
CityChallenge loyalty token is a virtual token that will represent your participation to the Crowdhackathon Smart Cities Challenge #Smartcities2.
The total supply is only 25,000 tokens. It is in experimental mode and the main objective is to familiarise Crowdhackathon Smart Cities Challenge #Smartcities2 audience in blockchain and token economy concepts!
Loyalty Tokens allocated for crowdhackathon winners 10,000
Loyalty Tokens that will be allocated to crowdhackathon participants (contestants, mentors, judges, volunteers) 15,000 CCL(s) (30 CCL for each participant)

Steps to claim your CityChalenge Token
Setup your CryptoWallet
Metamask: Metamask is just an Ethereum browser and ether wallet. It interacts with Ethereum Dapps and SmartContracts without running a full ethereum node. MetaMask add-on can be installed on Chrome, Firefox, Opera and the new Brave browser.
First, let’s setup a MetaMask on Chrome browser. Open up a new Chrome browser window and navigate to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metamask/nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn and then click on “ADD TO CHROME” to install MetaMask plugin.
After installing, click on the MetaMask icon on the top right corner of the chrome browser. It will open up MetaMask UI, scroll all the way down and click Accept to agree MetaMask’s terms of use.
Then enter password, confirm password, and then click Create for a new Ethereum account. This account allows you to send, receive Ether, ERC20 tokens like CityChallenge and also allows to deploy Smart Contracts.
MetaMask will show up 12 words recovery key (Seed) as below.
These 12 words are the only way to restore MetaMask accounts if you forget the password. It should be stored in a safe location. Then click on “I’VE COPIED IT SOMEWHERE SAFE”. The main screen of MetaMask will open as below.
You will notice when you see your balance that there is also a tab called “TOKENS”
Simply entering the token address causes metamask to access the contract and extract the name and precision from the token contract. After that you simply click on “ADD” you should see
The balance which will be 0 and the ticker CCL which is the CityChallenge.

Let’s claim the CityChallenge token
- In order to claim your token the organizing commeet needs your public address. Initially Account1 has 0 ETH available balance. Copy Account1 address to clipboard.
