Here’s what some of HelloMeets’ volunteers have to say:

“Being a HelloMeets volunteer showed me how much more there is to learn about SaaS marketing and how to show up on time for any engagement. Learning the former was an enjoyable process and the latter a little painful, but I like to believe I am a bit better at both now!” -Ajay Ramamoorthy, Product Marketer at Upshotly

“I was looking for an adventure & a new experience, and as a HelloMeets volunteer, I have learnt so many things about myself, about product and design culture & about people and their way of thinking.”-Sheldon John, Freelance Graphic Designer

“Being a volunteer helped me make new friends and get more social with the design community.”-Nahush Dc, UX designer at Callhub

“HelloMeets is doing wonderful work by inviting industry experts to share their experience on different domains. I have been volunteering at their events for the last four months and it has been a great journey. I have met people from the same industry and that has helped me get suggestions on my product & grow my startup.”-Kaushik Byna, Founder & CEO at CleverPick

We at HelloMeets recently changed the way of handling events. Earlier we used to have a dedicated person in each city take care of all events.

It’s because of all these people that we could start out doing events in their cities! A big Thank you to each one of them. You know who you are!😀

But then suddenly one day we had a EUREKA MOMENT and came up with the idea of having volunteers for all events.

Why did this idea pop up in our head….?

HelloMeets is a Community, a place where everyone can get a chance to meet, learn & share knowledge.

We wanted to reach out to more people and help them connect. But with a team of just 2 people sitting in Delhi, it wasn’t possible to do events in every city. The need for us to do more and build the community, made us come up with this idea.

For the past few months, we’ve thought of our community in whatever we do. Be it speaker recommendations, getting content for upcoming events from our attendees or even where and when should we host events, we always ask the community.

No doubt it helped us save some resources, it’s also a great way to engage our community. And the people who volunteer for the events, also stand to benefit.

Here’s what a volunteer gets:

  1. A free ticket to our event
  2. Become a face of HelloMeets! You get more visibility in the community 🤩
  3. Network & Learn

What you have to do as a volunteer? We don’t have too many rules. Just a guide to help you handle an event smoothly 😀 😉

  1. Maintain the spirit of the HelloMeets Events: interactive 2 way communicaton where the attendees get a chance to put their questions across to the speaker.
  2. It’s about introductions. Make sure that you give an introduction of HelloMeets and the speaker. You need to introduce yourself too!! 🙃 “Everyone here, I am xyx ….(name & what you do). I am volunteering at the HelloMeets community. HelloMeets helps designers, coders, marketers, sales professionals, investors meet via offline meetups and workshops in all the metro cities in India-Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune & also Singapore.”
  3. Be gracious. Thank the speaker and attendees for their time and the venue partners for providing their space.
  4. Make learning and networking easy. Request all the attendees to quickly introduce themselves in one line & share what they’re looking to gain from the event.
  5. Click a group picture and some other pictures from the event. We’ll share them from the social media channels and thank the attendees and speaker for being a part of the community.
  6. Since all our events are paid, we’d need you to take the attendance of the people coming for our events. Let’s make sure we have curated events and not everyone can just walk in….🚶⛔
  7. Try and become a contributor for the HelloMeets blog. You can share what you learnt in that particular session you volunteered for.

You feel you can’t write? Don’t worry at all….We’ve got you covered! Here’s a blog that’ll help you become a contributor ⬇

8. You can even contribute in your own special way!

Here’s how Arjun Pillai, Video Designer at Freshworks Inc, captured a session on User Research by Ram Kumarasubramanian & Abhilash Pillai in a video and took feedback from the attendees & speakers.
