Why Subscribe to Her Hoop Stats?
We launched Her Hoop Stats in late 2017 with the goal of unlocking better insight about the women’s game. It’s been an amazing journey so far. Since we started the site with four people and a dream, we’ve been fortunate to:
- Enable easy, standardized comparisons of all NCAA Division I/II/III women’s basketball teams and players based on their traditional statistics
- Provide advanced statistics that were largely unavailable for women’s basketball but common in the men’s game
- Build our Her Hoop Stats rating, an automated rating system for NCAAW based on machine learning
- Deliver information to ESPN, the Pac-12 Network, and many other broadcasters for use on air and in podcasts
- Cover two Final Fours, the 2018 WNBA All-Star Game, 2018 WNBA Finals, NCAA Conference Tournaments, a national team scrimmage, and countless other games and events
- Launch our Stories section with more than 150 stories by 20 authors that have been read approximately 100,000 times in the last year
- Create our social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram where thousands follow us to keep up with the game in real-time, interact with us, and track our content
- Design a team comparison tool for evaluating the résumés of NCAA teams
We’ve been able to do this while keeping the site ad-free. From the start, a subscription to our stats site has been just $20 per year. Many coaches have told us we should charge far more than that, but we’re committed to supporting the entire women’s basketball community, not just the people and programs with the most resources. Whether you’re a coach, team employee, broadcaster, player, parent, season ticket holder, or casual fan, we believe we can enhance your understanding and enjoyment of the women’s game.
At $20 annually, our hope is that just about everyone with an interest in the women’s game can afford the statistical information we offer. Our other content will continue to be available freely to all.
That’s only been possible because of the personal commitment of our team of over 20 volunteer staff from across the country and globe. Countless hours have been spent watching, analyzing, and describing the game because we love women’s basketball and want to do our small part to promote the game and these amazing athletes.

The subscription fee helps us pay for our costs, expand our offerings, and make it possible to start compensating people for the time they are putting in. We’re working to move from a world where our incredible group is earning 0% of what they deserve for their efforts to 100% compensation. We can only do that with your support.
