Each month, Her Outlette highlights a business on a mission to make an impact while also making money. Last month, we featured founder and owner of Crown Nail Lacquer, Dr. Alyanna Brown. Check out the third installment of our “Bout’ Her Business” series below!

Currently, most retailers are reducing the amount of physical stores they have due to the influx of shoppers buying online. We can’t even go an hour without receiving some type of ad baiting us to buy online. The models never reflect anyone who looks like me or my diverse friend group. Cue in Flawed Boutique, an online boutique that seeks to inspire women to be confident and beautiful despite our flaws.

Owner, Myriah Nonay has been in fashion since her early teens. As a model, she was featured in many popular magazines but always felt the looming pressure pertaining to her body. She found that many of her peers in the industry felt that same pressure. It was then that Myriah founded Flawed to inspire women to combat those thoughts of imperfection. She learned, what so many of us still fail to, that our imperfections are what set us apart from one another and make us all perfect in our own way.

Flawed Boutique was founded in 2015, and created on the premise that all body shapes and sizes matter. Social media, celebrities, males, and other females all influence the way we perceive our own beauty. As a result of this, many women yearn for a body based on what society has deemed acceptable.

“The truth of the matter is that we already have the body of our dreams, we just need a little help wearing it. We encourage self-love.” — Myriah Nonay

You can find real women pictured on Myriah’s site. Her company is not using women who have altered bodies as marketing mechanisms. She believes in including women of all body shapes so that they can see themselves as they shop.

Currently you can find some great markdowns on Flawed Boutique’s site. You can shop now and support a business that embraces real women.
